Weekend Academy Report

We had the last set of fixtures before Christmas over the weekend, and again some great performances and results for Druids.
U12s: No man of the match for this game as everyone played out of their skin against a team that are unbeaten all season. The Druids lads all showed that hard work brings results so a big congratulations to them all! Did the club proud.
U13s: All 12 players did their jobs and maintained their discipline and structure consistently. A great game to watch and a good reward for their hard work and adapting to our new system and responsibilities. Well done all!
U14s: The best performance this season from our 14s, beating TNS 5-1. It’s very hard to pick a Man of the Match as everyone was brilliant and didn’t give our opponents any time on the ball to play. Billy Jones at centre back was outstanding all game. Up against their biggest threat, he was calm in possession and read the game really well.
U16s: Man of the Match was Alex Whiting. A very good individual performance and won his individual battles. In possession Alex made the correct decisions in terms of playing through, and also off the ball didn’t get beat 1v1 in the air or on the ground. Well done!
U19s: Man of the Match, Joise Fernandes. Was very positive all game, taking players on and creating chances. Joise also showed a great attitude and desire to press from the front and win the ball. Another great performance!
We would also like to wish our U15s good luck tonight as the play TNS.
Well done to all our academy players and coaches over the weekend. Again, some great individual and team performances, doing the club proud. We would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you all again soon for our next set of fixtures!
More than just a football club.
