New Additions to First Team Staff

Two new additions have joined the Druids first team staff, as experienced coach Gareth Flitcroft has come in as assistant manager with Luke Bailey joining as sports therapist.
Gareth has been a positive presence in the dugout and in trainings for the past few weeks and we are thrilled to have him on board as assistant manager. His attention to detail in preparation for trainings and matches has been noticed and commended straight away by the coaches and players.
Gareth has previously spent time in management at Burscough FC in the English system. Beforehand being in Catalonia, Spain with UD Viladecans.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Druids so far. The lads are pushing each other every session and we are creating a real high intensity in our sessions and games. Going forward for the remainder of the season, it will be about managing the things we can influence to our highest level on that specific day.”
Luke Bailey has also joined the squad as sports therapist. Previously working at Bangor City FC as the Head of Sport Science and Medicine we are delighted to have his experience as part of our first team set up.
“It’s great to be here at Druids. The facilities and fellow staff members are fantastic and as much as I can’t wait to apply my own knowledge and experience, I am also hugely excited to learn more from my colleagues and further my experience at a club which is rich in history.”
Luke will be assisting with our strength and conditioning programs, collecting and analysing player data and delivering rehabilitation and injury prevention programmes for the players.
We are thrilled to have them both on board and would like to welcome them to the club. We wish them the very best for their future with us.
More than just a football club.
