Another exciting talent as Yalany Baio puts pen to paper with Druids to bolster our midfield.
Baio has made an instant impression since joining the team in preseason. A hard working, physical midfielder and technically confident on the ball.
Originally from Guinea, Baio began his footballing career in Portugal at Sporting Lisbon, before moving to the UK to join Liverpool’s Youth Academy. Signing his first professional contract at 16, Baio has played his senior football at Sparta Rotterdam in the Eerste Divisie in the Netherlands and at Gibraltar United. He has experienced Welsh football, having most recently played for Bangor before signing with Druids.
Baio has international experience as well, having represented Portugal U18s and the Guinea national team.
We are very excited to have him on board,
“I am really happy to sign for a great club like Cefn Druids. I aim to work hard and help the club bounce back to where they should be!” He said.
Baio will wear the number 16 jersey and will be hoping to feature tomorrow night at Prestatyn Town!
