Another great talent coming into our midfield, Pavel Vieira joins Druids after recent spells at Bangor, Airbus and Aberystwyth Town.
Originally from Guinea-Bissau, Pav has endured a great story of resilience to get where he is today. A difficult journey crossing from Africa to Europe as a young boy in search of better opportunities, Pav began his footballing career in Portugal with spells at Mem Martins FC, G.D Estoril Praia and S.C Farense. He went on to make his professional debut in the Primeira Liga for S.C Olhanense at 19 years of age.
Going on to play more senior football in Italy and Spain, Pav then came to the UK playing at Prescot Cables in England before coming to Wales. He has experience at Bangor, Airbus and Aberystwyth Town and we are thrilled to have him sign on for the season ahead.
A great ambassador for football as well, since settling in the UK, Pav has enrolled in a football coaching career in Liverpool where he helps young talented refugees to develop their football skills and shares his football experience with them.
“After travelling all around Europe, today I am grateful to be able to play football at such a great club like Druids and to be part of their history” he said.
A technical gifted player, Pav will wear the number 12 jersey and will be hoping to be available for our first league match of the season next Friday against Connah’s Quay!
