Cefn Druids Football Club are delighted to announce Goalkeeper Michael Jones has agreed a contract extension with the club.
The deal comes after four successful years between the sticks and the experienced shot stopper will also start his coaching badges and take an active part in coaching the young keepers in the academy.
“I love the club and fans have been brilliant and so I’m more than happy to continue playing for as long as I can” said Jones.
Druids Chairman, Des Williams said “Michael and I had a chat at the start of the year and he expressed his desire to carry on playing and retire at the club. That was good enough for me and showed that he shares our passion and desire to see the club succeed”.
The signing of Michael Jones signals the clubs desire and ambition for stability and experience. It is expected that striker Jamie Reed will extend his stay and talks have started with club captain, Neil Ashton on a new deal.
