Over the weekend, we sat down with Technical Director Matt Harris, to chat about his experience at Druids so far and his vision for the future!
I have found the first month as the new Technical Director at Cefn Druids an amazing experience that I have fully embraced and enjoyed. I firstly have to thank the Chairman for believing in me and giving me a chance to lead his vision, as he has a phenomenal plan ahead and is a visionary that can see beyond tomorrow.
It’s truly a privilege to be at this legendary club and to help put things in place by implementing tactics, setting long-term visions and targets, as well as asking “How are we going to get there together as a club”. I have realised it is crucial that staff and team members buy into the new direction and run with it. It is important that everyone is working towards the same goals, has an understanding of the needs of the organisation and that history is important as well as understanding the players’ NEEDS.
I look forward to stabilising the club by making key coaching appointments and continuing to mentor and oversee matters that can improve our standards and professionalism to make Cefn Druids a new force in developing quality players that can reach the first team.
