Match Preview: Druids vs Caernarfon Town

After five weeks without football, we return tomorrow night to face Caernarfon Town under the lights at The Rock.

It is looking to be an exciting game tomorrow night, Druids will want to upset our opponents, who still have a lot to play for. Ex Druids manager Huw Griffith’s side are only one point off the top 6 and will be eager for a win to close that gap. The Cofis last played on the 21st December in an impressive 4-3 away win at high-flying Flint Town. They will be coming into this match with confidence to continue their goal scoring form.

We last played Caernarfon Town at The Oval back on the 10th September last year. A very close first half which finished 0-0 at the break, but the Cofis put Druids to the sword in the second period with three late goals without reply.

Tomorrow’s fixture should see a changed Druids squad with a few departures already in the January window. Joe Faux and George Harry have both gone out on loan. There are a few new faces that will be hoping to make the squad pending registration and will be announced on our social media soon.

Druid’s last league game was a memorable affair at The Rock against Bala Town a week before Christmas. It ended 5-3 Bala, but Druids showed great work rate and resilience after being forced to play the majority of the second half with 9 men. Miraculously we scored two goals with the 9 men and will be looking to continue that goal scoring form and go one better tomorrow night.

With the Welsh Government’s announcement on no restrictions of fans at sporting events from the 21st January, we are open to all for tomorrow night’s game and would love to see as many of you down there to watch some live football and support the lads.

It is looking to be a great occasion and the lads can’t wait to get out there.

Come on you Druids!
