Tomorrow night, Druids travel to the Deeside Stadium to take on Connah’s Quay Nomads for Matchday 11.
After back-to-back championships, The Nomads are currently in a rough patch of form, without a league win in 8 matches. They sit in 10th position with 10 points so far and will be eager to return to winning ways in the league when we travel to the Deeside Stadium tomorrow night.
The Nomads recently picked up a bit of confidence through the Nathaniel MG Cup on Tuesday night, as they saw off Holywell Town comfortably 4-0 at home.
The last time we travelled to the Deeside was back in November last year. It ended a tight 2-1 defeat for Druids where we were unlucky to not come away with a point. It is looking to be a wet, windy evening on the grass at Connah’s Quay tomorrow night, and the lads are prepared for the battle.
Druids are coming off an agonising 2-1 defeat at Haverfordwest last Saturday in which we were winning the match right up until the 82nd minute. Two late goals from the Bluebirds snatched all three points and it ended a cruel defeat for the Druids.
Again, we were inches away from getting the result we deserve, and we have to keep working and believing to make that a reality.
It will be a tough battle in the elements tomorrow night and the lads are looking forward to getting out there and getting a result.
