Match Preview: Cefn Druids vs Prestatyn Town FC
The day has finally arrived, as tomorrow night we begin our campaign in the JD Cymru North at The Rock against Prestatyn Town.
After a lengthy preseason and a lot of work on and off the pitch by everyone involved at the club, we are excited for our first game of the season tomorrow night under the lights at The Rock. It will be manager Neil Ashton’s first competitive game in charge and the lads are looking forward to getting out there and starting off the season well.
Along with the announcements of Michael Jones and Phil Mooney staying on for another season and the arrivals of Ben Maher and Ross Weaver from Flint Town, we have a few more exciting signings to announce once their international clearance’s come through. Fortunately, it is looking likely they will be featuring for Druids tomorrow night.
Our first game of the season is against Prestatyn Town FC. A tough opening test for Ashton’s side. Our opponents have recruited a new look squad over the summer and will be looking to get back on track this season after many successful years in the top tiers of Welsh football.
We can’t wait for the match and would love to see as many fans down there as possible supporting the team. Football under the lights at The Rock is always a special occasion, and the lads are ready to start our campaign off on the right foot!
