Another big game at The Rock tomorrow afternoon as we welcome Cardiff Met for Matchday 15.
The Students make the trip north with an air of confidence, having reached the final of the Nathaniel MG Cup last Saturday with a 3-2 win over Barry Town. However, they are without a league win in their least 5 fixtures and will be looking to rectify that tomorrow.
We last played Cardiff Met in an entertaining affair at the Cyncoed Campus back at the beginning of October, being Interim Manager Andy Turner’s first league game in charge. A flurry of goals in the first half, including a brace for Ben Wynne saw us go into the break 3-2 down. Pushing hard for an equaliser in the second period, we took the game to our opponents but were caught on the break late on as it finished 4-2 Met.
Going off our recent form, Druids have continued to put in solid performances and have been unlucky not to get more out of our last games. With a draw against Flint Town and a very close 1-0 defeat at Barry, the lads will be confident they can go one better tomorrow and take all 3 points!
It is looking to be a great occasion as we return to The Rock for the first time in almost a month! Another great opportunity for Druids to close the gap on the bottom 6 and we look forward to seeing you all down there to support the lads.
We will have players sporting rainbow laces throughout the match tomorrow and a rainbow armband for our captain. This is in support of Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces campaign for the promotion and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in sport. This campaign has been promoted across the Welsh and English leagues recently, including the English Premier League and Druids are proud to be a part of it!
See you all tomorrow!
Come on you Druids!
