Tomorrow evening, the league returns as we travel to Caernarfon Town for an exciting fixture under the lights at The Oval.
Both sides come into this game off wins in the Welsh Cup last weekend and will be looking to get some all-important points in the league.
Caernarfon currently sit in 8th position, winning on the opening day against Haverfordwest and earning an impressive 1-1 draw away at Connah’s Quay at the end of August. Ex Druids manager Huw Griffiths, currently in charge of Caernarfon will be looking to get one over on his previous club. Iwan Cartwright and Aaron Simpson have also joined The Canaries from Druids last season, which should again add more fire to the contest.
Our last trip to The Oval back in October 2020 resulted in an impressive 2-1 away win for Druids with goals from Iwan Cartwright and Alex Darlington. Both having moved on from the club since, it will be up to the new squad to get a positive result tomorrow night.
Onto team news; both sides look to have a centre half suspended for the fixture. Phil Mooney will serve his final match ban after a red card at Flint Town while Caernarfon centre half Steve Evans shouldn’t be available after his sending off on Matchday 3 at home to Newtown. Emmanuel Agyemang and Jake Hampson will also be hoping to be fit for Druids after recovering from slight knocks.
Druids earned a valuable win last weekend in the Welsh Cup and will be looking to carry that confidence into the match tomorrow night. It is looking to be a great fixture under the lights at The Oval and the lads are eager to come away with a positive result!
