Match Preview: Barry Town vs Cefn Druids

Another away day for Druids tomorrow as we make the trip to south Wales to take on Barry Town United.

Druids come into this come with confidence after picking up our first win of the season last weekend at home to Cardiff Met. Two well taken penalties by Niall Flint was enough on the day to seal the 2-0 victory. Druids will be looking to continue tomorrow with another positive performance at Jenner Park.

Our opponents have endured a tough Phase 2, sitting one place above Druids in the playoff conference. They are currently winless in their last 7 fixtures and will be looking to rectify that run tomorrow. It is a tight race at the moment between Barry, Connah’s Quay and Aber for who takes the second relegation spot, so tomorrow’s match will have a lot of significance!

We last played our opponents at Jenner Park back at the end of November last year. A very tight game where Druids created good chances and were unlucky not to get anything out of it. It ended 1-0 Barry courtesy of a Kayne McLaggon penalty on 16 minutes.

We get another crack at our opponents tomorrow and it is shaping up to be a great fixture. The lads are ready and looking forward to the journey and to put on another good performance. Stay tuned to our social media pages tomorrow for more updates.

Come on you Druids!
