Another away day for Druids tomorrow afternoon as we travel to Maes Tegid to take on 2nd place Bala Town.
Another big fixture in the league tomorrow afternoon as we face Bala Town, who are coming off an impressive away win at high-flying Flint last weekend. A 91st minute goal by forward Dave Edwards sealed a big 2-1 comeback for the Lakesiders and moved them up to 2nd in the league, 4 points behind leaders TNS.
Our opponents are yet to lose a match so far this season and will offer a great test for Druids, who are beginning to gather some momentum after encouraging recent performances.
Druids come into this game off a very entertaining match at Cardiff Met last weekend. Going into halftime 3-2 to The Students, we pushed for an equaliser and came very close, but couldn’t capitalise on the chances we created. However, an encouraging performance that pushed our opponents to the very edge.
A similar, but more clinical performance will again be required tomorrow if we are to get a result at Maes Tegid.
Some teams news: Phil Mooney, Stef Edwards and Pavel Vieira are looking to be available after missing out last weekend while captain Michael Jones remains a doubt. Midfielder Yalany Baio has also completed his suspension and will be hoping to make his Druids debut in the league tomorrow.
It is shaping up to be a great test for Druids. The lads have worked hard in training this week and will be up for the battle.
