Tomorrow the 25th September we travel to Park Avenue to take on Aberystwyth Town in Round 3 of the Welsh Cup!
Aber reached the third round following a dominant 9-0 home victory against Aber Valley FC earlier in the month, while Druids overcame Holyhead Hotspur on penalties to reach this stage.
Aber are coming off a disappointing 5-2 loss at Park Avenue on Tuesday night against Cardiff Met in the Nathaniel MG Cup and will be looking for a reaction when we visit tomorrow. Two ex-Druids from last season have made the switch to Aber in Alex Darlington and Sam Phillips. Both will be relishing the opportunity to come up against their former club. Aber currently sit in 10th position, two places above Druids in the league. It should be a tight contest and one Druids will be hoping to win and progress further in the Welsh Cup.
We come into this match following a home defeat to Penybont in the league last Saturday and the news this morning of the departure of manager Niall McGuinness. Despite this, the lads have a strong belief we can get a result tomorrow against a side we may be battling with closely in the league later down the track.
Some team news; Andy Brown and Tony Davies have returned to training this week following injury and illness respectively, and are looking to be available for tomorrows match. Yalany Baio has one more match of his suspension while Brandon Lockett and Aaron Pomeyie are doubts through injury. It will be a welcome return to the squad for our captain Michael Jones, who is likely to be back in between the sticks.
Druids will have to shake off any distractions behind the scenes and just focus on their football tomorrow. It should be a great match over in Aberystwyth and we look forward to getting out there.

Come on you Druids!
