Joe Faux Appointed Club’s Marketing Manager

Alongside being a player for the club, Joe Faux has been appointed marketing manager and will aid with Cefn Druid’s social media profiles. Joe completed a Marketing degree at Edge Hill University, receiving first class honours, and has shown an interest in developing the club’s online presence.

Druids take pride in helping their players not only on the pitch, but away from it too. First team players such as Jamie Reed, Kieran Smith and Harry Fuller as well as senior academy players have also been offered coaching roles within the club after showing interest. The Club has had the pleasure of Paul Day working as the club chaplain/counsellor for the past few years as well as the recent addition of Jack Birch as the club’s sports scientist to help with the player’s emotional and mental well-being.

“I had been looking for a job alongside my football and had spoken to the chairman about my degree, as he also had a marketing background. I was really happy to be offered this opportunity as social media within football clubs was an area I focused on in my dissertation. These kind of jobs are hard to come by for recent graduates, so I think it will be a good experience for me as it is something I’d like to pursue after my football career. I’m really looking forward to getting started, but may need a little help with the live match updates!” Joe
