Druids U16s vs TNS Academy

Our U15s stepped up last night to play for the 16s against top of the league TNS. The lads put in a brilliant performance along with a really nice tribute by Deacon for his late grandad.

The match ended 2-1 to TNS, but an excellent team performance from everyone. We were unlucky not to get something from the game. Considering they are top of the league for the Under 16s shows what a great performance we put in! Apart from their draw to Connah’s Quay we have given them the best game this season, so we’ll take that and build from it. We had to change things up a bit in terms of formation tonight and with no training all week the lads responded well and did everything that the coaches asked and then some! Obviously we lost the game, but there is a sense of pride that we gave them a real test with the young lads stepping up. We take that into the new year now and finish as strongly as we can. If we can put a shift like that in every week then the results will come. Well done everyone. A special mention to Deacon who was playing for his grandad tonight, he was outstanding all night. His grandad would have been watching and would have been proud of the performance.

More than just a football club.
