Druids Announce Three New Signings!

We are thrilled to have bolstered the squad before deadline day as Jose Ferreira, Harry Farnsworth and Ryan Neild have all signed for Druids and are eligible for tomorrow’s Welsh Cup tie.
Jose, an athletic, hardworking full-back joins us after stints in Portugal and the English leagues. Originally from Portugal, he made his professional debut in 2020 for FC Oliveira do Hospital and will be a welcome addition to our backline.
“I am so grateful to be able to take my next step in Wales and join Cefn Druids. I will do everything I can to help the club achieve its goals,” he said.
Harry Farnsworth also joins the squad. Beginning his football through Shrewsbury Town’s academy, he progressed into senior football in the English semi-pro leagues. Another strong, hardworking player, Harry is a central midfielder confident in the tackle and with his distribution.
He spoke about the move,
“It’s been my goal to make it to the highest level I can go in football and so signing for Druids, a club full of history is an absolute honour and I’m looking forward to getting started and showing the supporters what I can do!”
Finally, a new addition in between the sticks. Ryan Neild has impressed since coming in to train with the team. He has solid experience in England and Wales, having played for Chester FC, Northwich Victoria, Witton Albion, Widnes and Airbus FC. Another great addition to the squad, we look forward to seeing him in action!
All three are eligible to play in tomorrow’s home tie against Holyhead Hotspur FC. We look forward to seeing more of them throughout the season and welcome them to the club.
More than just a football club.
