Druids Academy Expands Programme

Cefn Druids Academy are proud to announce two new and exciting additions to our programme for the 2020/21 season.

Firstly, the new Pre-Academy which will see both u7 and u8 age groups training in the hope to earn a place at the full academy at u9 level. This will be a weekly session where players can trial over a period in the academy environment to help develop their football skills as. All players will be allowed to continue with their grass roots clubs and will be invited into a modified games programme to learn and allow coaches to assess the players development. This will be a bespoke programme aimed at both football ability and fundamental movement skills allowing the players to develop in a more holistic way, giving the best opportunity to succeed within our Academy.

We will also see the very first girl’s development centre at The Rock, after a successful girl’s fun football programme, we aim to provide more advanced skill sessions and a modified games programme for girls who wish to develop their footballing ability whilst continuing to develop at their grass roots clubs. We hope this will grow into a full age groups programme for girls at Cefn Druids which will feed a senior ladies team in time as we aim to continue to develop our club.
