Druids 15s and 16s vs Oldham Athletic
Two great matches for our 15s and 16s yesterday against a professional academy set up. A valuable experience for the lads who enjoyed every minute.
15s
Was a great win for our 15s against a good, physical Oldham side. It was good to see our boys mix it up and compete physically with them alongside focusing on our principles that we stick to. We created a lot of chances which we capitalised on. Our front players were brilliant all afternoon. Overall a really positive performance for our 15s who have started the season really well.
16s
A competitive game for our 16s which unfortunately went in Oldham’s favour. However, it was great to see the lads improving over the past 3 games. Their confidence is growing and we are playing more and more like a team each week. We also defended well as a unit and created enough chances to win the game, but unfortunately couldn’t take them. We keep working and look ahead to Llandudno on Sunday.
A massive thanks to all the parents for supporting the players and getting them to Oldham ready for the matches. We will have more opportunities like this for our academy sides in future!
