Our unders 11 lost 7-3 to Llandudno.
In the first 1/3 we were just getting overloaded by Llandudno which played good football making our lads play high then they hit a couple of balls over the top which their striker converted and we just couldn’t seem to get back into the first 1/3 and it finished 6-0 Llandudno.
However 2/3 we started to get the ball back and start playing and creating chances and battling well. The lads started to have confidence in themselves and we started controlling the game and we caught Llandudno out with a quick attack which lead to Luka hitting a shot from about 10/15 yards out which went straight pass the goalkeeper and put us 1-0 up. We just kept putting pressure on Llandudno trying to get more goals but the 2/3 finished.
Llandudno 0-1 Druids.
Final 3/3 we started off strong but Llandudno had the first chance which went wide and from the Goal kick we played out from the back and played the ball around Llandudno using what must have been a maximum of 2 touches from each player Involved in the play. Our GK played it to his right hand side to Jake who controlled it then ball played it into the middle and a first time pass out wide to the right hand side which Osian ran onto, had 1 touch before he played the ball across the box for Louie to finish 1st time at the back post. I was pleased as during that build up the lads used great communication between themselves. However Llandudno started to play the ball around and created chances but once again we went forward and took our chance again and beat the GK for the 2nd time putting us 2-0 up and Llandudno started to attack us more and tried to overload us but our defence/midfield dealt with a couple of overloaded attacks. Shortly afterward Llandudno had a chance and manage to pull one back but we got the ball back and started to play, the longer the game went on the more we started controlling it. However a great match and work rate from all the Druids players.

Druids 2-0 Llandudno
Second preseason game in, very positive game and two great finishes from Theo and Luke.
Great game management towards the end when keeping hold of the ball. Moved it around well.
Rhys proving to be a massive asset to pick out passes into the wide players when attacking.
Controlled the game well for the majority of it, their CB proved difficult to get around. He was a big presence for our attackers to deal with.
We had a few set pieces that we are currently working on in training, chances to score but didn’t take, plenty of things to take back to the training pitch ready for our next game against Flint.
2 wins from 2 for their preseason so far, a good group of boys we have, plenty to bring to the table from each individual player. Excited for the season ahead!

Druids 1-3 Llandudno.
Despite the result, the boys played well handing out debuts to Harrison Hughes, Thomas Antrobus, Levi Lloyd, Jack Sutcliff, Josh Smith and Evan Roberts. First half the boys found it hard dealing with the large pitch but grew into the half second half and were playing much better within the system. A stand out goal from Harrison Hughes and some good performances from Thomas Antrobus, Dion Thomas with time hopefully this result will just be growing pains for a strong squad.
More than just a football club.
