Academy Trials and Camps
With the 2021/22 season coming to a close, we begin planning for the next and have some exciting academy trials and camps coming up at the end of May!
Druids will be running a series of trials and camps for players looking to carry on playing through the summer and to join our academy next season. This season, a number of our academy players have progressed up to make their senior debuts with the first team. We have a clear pathway for our academy players to play at the highest levels in Wales. Are you looking for the chance?
Scholars Trials
May 30-31st 2022
Ages 16-18 year olds
Venue: The Rock Stadium
We are looking for Year 1 and 2 scholars to join our academy and be part of our successful U19s and EDS squads. We are also offering a BTEC and Blended Learning program for this age group. A special new program next season for players that are interested in gaining an education and playing football at the same time. Our BTEC Level 2&3 in Sports Coaching combines education and training and is a great chance to live, train and learn as a professional. This is a full time programme.

Escuela de Futbol
May 28-29th 2022
Ages 18-22 years old
Venue: The Rock Stadium
Another massive opportunity we are announcing. We are holding trials at The Rock for players who are looking to train and play as a professional in Spain at our partner club for 3 months and experience what it takes to play at the highest levels. Open to players who are interested in a career in professional football. This is a vey intense camp and based in Spain and is available for players that can train full time.

Druids Player Performance Pathway Trials (DPPP)
May 28-29th 2022
Ages 18-23 years old
Venue: The Rock
Our DPPP program next season will be for players slightly older than our BTEC Scholars program. We are looking for players who want to study for a degree as well as train and play as a professional in the UK. This trial is for players who have experience within the English Football League systems (or equivalent), who are looking for the opportunity to get back into professional football. Players must be a UK resident and have a minimum of two seasons experience within an EPPP system.
The second round of trials will take place on June 11th 2022 and will be available to players selected from the first trial.

May Camp
May 30-31st 2022
Ages 8-17 years old
Our May Camp is for players either already in our academy system or players looking to join us for next season. We’re looking for players that can commit to training and developing into first team players.

The club is having a Sizing Day on June 11th 2022 for players selected for the academy. Kit sizes, registrations forms and academy information will be provided on the day.
Preseason Camp – Tournament
July 4-7th 2022
Ages 16-18 years old
Venue: Oakham
To kickstart our preseason training, we’ve entered a tournament and will be taking our academy players. Four days and three nights away, playing against league clubs and under the watchful eye of our Elite Phase coaches and Head of Coaching.
