A Thank You to Gresford Athletic FC

We wish to publicly thank Gresford Athletic for a brilliant donation to a local hospice which holds a close connection to a member of the Druids family.
Druids have offered the use of our facilities at The Rock for Gresford to play their home matches in the JD Cymru North. Gresford, at the moment are unfortunately unable to play at their ground Clappers Lane due to COVID-19 restrictions.
In response to this act, Gresford have kindly donated £500 to the Art Therapy Department at Nightingale House Hospice. What not many know is that Nightingale House holds a close connection to Druids chairman Des Williams. They helped his father-in-law dearly in his last weeks of life and Williams volunteered and worked at the hospice over a 14-month period.
We would like to thank Gresford for the brilliant gesture and donation. They will play at The Rock for their next league match against Holywell Town on the 2nd of October and then return to Clappers Lane at the end of October.
We wish them all the best for the season.
More than just a football club.
